Responsibilities
- Architect and execute technology roadmaps targeting 2026-2030 market disruptions
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, synthetic biology)
- Lead $5M+ innovation budgets across 5+ R&D initiatives
- Establish strategic partnerships with Fortune 500 tech leaders and academic research institutions
- Present future technology forecasts to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Mentor cross-functional teams in agile innovation methodologies
- Drive patent strategy with 15+ annual filings in emerging tech domains
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with Fortune 500/tech scale-up experience
- Proven track record in scaling disruptive technologies ($10M+ impact)
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum/AI/biotech/blockchain)
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies preferred
- Published thought leadership in IEEE/Nature/Future Studies journals
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants (SBIR/DOE/DARPA)
- Fluency in Mandarin or Japanese for global stakeholder engagement
- Portfolio of 3+ scaled technology transformation case studies
