Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions (quantum algorithms, neural interfaces, etc.)
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech pioneers
- Conduct competitive analysis and identify emerging technology disruptors
- Present innovation strategies to C-suite executives and board members
- Manage $2M+ annual R&D budget with ROI-focused allocation
- Mentor junior strategists and foster a culture of experimental innovation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 or high-growth startups
- Proven track record launching at least two market-defining tech products
- Expertise in AI/ML, quantum computing, or advanced materials science
- Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business (PhD preferred)
- Published thought leadership in IEEE or Nature Technology Review
- Experience with agile development and lean innovation methodologies
- Strong financial modeling skills for tech investment decisions
- Validated ability to secure $1M+ in government or private R&D funding
