Responsibilities
- Architect 5-10 year technology roadmaps integrating AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams in developing prototypical solutions for climate resilience and hyper-personalized medicine
- Conduct horizon scanning of emerging tech trends (e.g., neuromorphic chips, synthetic biology, decentralized AI)
- Design ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and human augmentation technologies
- Present strategic innovation blueprints to C-suite executives and government stakeholders
- Secure $5M+ in R&D funding through grant proposals and venture partnerships
- Mentor junior futurists in scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Forecasting, Systems Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic technology planning with 3+ years in future-focused roles
- Proven track record in scaling emerging technologies from lab to market
- Expertise in scenario planning tools (e.g., Delphi method, cross-impact matrix)
- Deep knowledge of quantum computing, synthetic biology, or neurotech domains
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed futurist journals (e.g., Journal of Futures Studies)
- Experience securing government innovation grants (SBIR, DARPA, etc.)
