Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and organizational goals
- Lead R&D initiatives in emerging fields: quantum algorithms, neural interfaces, and decentralized AI
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify breakthrough technologies with commercial potential
- Design scalable architecture for next-gen digital ecosystems
- Partner with product teams to translate strategic vision into actionable development plans
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite stakeholders and investors
- Build and lead an innovation lab exploring human-centric tech paradigms
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or advanced R&D leadership
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, or synthetic biology
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products with >$100M impact
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Deep understanding of ethical AI frameworks and responsible innovation principles
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to model complex technological ecosystems
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry forums
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants for future-tech projects
