Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market predictions
- Identify emerging technologies with disruptive potential through academic research and startup scouting
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions (AR/VR, quantum AI, bio-integrated systems)
- Present strategic technology briefings to C-suite and board members
- Establish partnerships with MIT Media Lab, Singularity University, and other innovation ecosystems
- Quantify ROI for futuristic initiatives using predictive analytics and scenario modeling
- Mentor junior strategists in horizon scanning and technology assessment methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or innovation management with Fortune 500 experience
- Published research in AI, quantum computing, or sustainable tech (peer-reviewed journals)
- Proven track record of launching products 3-5 years ahead of market maturity
- Expertise in scenario planning and technology impact assessment frameworks
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies (PhD preferred)
- Patents or pending patents in emerging technology domains
- Fluency in technology forecasting tools (Delphi, Horizon Scanning, Tech Mining)
- Experience with ethical tech governance frameworks (IEEE 7000, ISO 20700)
