Responsibilities
- Lead research and development of emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, biotech integration)
- Develop and execute strategic technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market projections
- Manage $10M+ innovation budget across R&D initiatives
- Present technology strategies to C-suite and board of directors
- Build and lead cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and domain experts
- Identify and evaluate disruptive startups for potential acquisition or partnership
- Publish thought leadership in industry journals and conferences
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ in emerging tech leadership
- Proven track record of launching products using future-facing technologies
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI ethics, AR/VR integration, or synthetic biology
- Experience with Fortune 500 or unicorn-scale tech roadmapping
- Strong network within tech innovation ecosystems (Silicon Valley, MIT Media Lab, etc.)
- Exceptional communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Certification in Technology Strategy or Innovation Management preferred
