Responsibilities
- Develop and execute technology roadmaps for 2026-2030, anticipating market shifts and emerging paradigms
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, design, and business teams
- Conduct horizon scanning for breakthrough technologies (quantum, AGI, synthetic biology)
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board members with data-backed recommendations
- Manage $5M+ R&D budget for experimental projects and pilot programs
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators
- Author thought leadership publications on future technology trends
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with Fortune 500 or scale-up experience
- Proven track record of launching at least two market-defining tech products
- Expertise in emerging technologies: quantum computing, AGI, or neurotech
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., from Institute for the Future)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Innovation Management
- Published author or speaker at Web Summit, TechCrunch Disrupt, or similar forums
- Experience leading cross-continental R&D teams (remote-first preferred)
