Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 3-year technology adoption roadmaps for AI, quantum, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and product managers through rapid prototyping cycles
- Secure strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Conduct horizon scanning and competitive analysis in emerging technology markets
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite executives and board of directors
- Maintain compliance with evolving AI ethics regulations and sustainability standards
- Manage $5M+ R&D budget allocation across innovation projects
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record commercializing emerging technologies (quantum/AI/blockchain)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Published thought leadership in tech journals (IEEE, Nature Technology)
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants and tax incentives
- Deep understanding of regulatory landscapes in at least 2 countries
- Certification in technology foresight methodologies (e.g., Horizon Scanning)
- Fluency in at least one programming language (Python/Java preferred)
