Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging fields (AI, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives to prototype next-gen solutions
- Analyze global tech trends and regulatory impacts on innovation strategies
- Secure $10M+ in venture funding for experimental projects
- Present strategic visions to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Mentor a team of 12+ engineers and researchers
- File 5+ patents annually for breakthrough technologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years in tech strategy with 5+ in emerging technologies
- Proven track record of scaling R&D from concept to market
- Expertise in at least two future-tech domains (e.g., quantum AI, neurotech)
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Experience securing government/VC funding for experimental projects
- Deep understanding of ethical frameworks for disruptive tech
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum computing platforms
