Responsibilities
- Lead strategic research and analysis of emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, Web3, biotech convergence) with 3-5 year market impact forecasts
- Develop and execute technology roadmaps aligned with long-term business objectives and market disruption trends
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and finance teams to prioritize R&D investments and innovation initiatives
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry consortia for technology scouting
- Present technology insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and stakeholders
- Drive innovation culture through internal workshops, hackathons, and thought leadership initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or innovation management within tech-forward industries
- Proven track record of identifying and commercializing emerging technologies with $100M+ impact
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Expertise in technology forecasting frameworks (e.g., Delphi method, scenario planning)
- Deep understanding of ethical implications of disruptive technologies and responsible innovation
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
