Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with organizational vision and market disruption forecasts
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum computing, biotech integration, AGI frameworks) through competitive analysis and patent research
- Lead cross-functional initiatives between R&D, product development, and venture capital teams
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions, government labs, and global innovation hubs
- Present technology forecasts and strategic recommendations to the board of directors and investors
- Drive innovation culture through internal hackathons and external thought leadership initiatives
- Manage $5M+ annual innovation budget with ROI-focused allocation
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership with Fortune 500 or scale-up experience
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies (3+ successful launches)
- Expertise in futures forecasting methodologies (e.g., Delphi analysis, scenario planning)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; PhD preferred
- Deep understanding of regulatory landscapes for emerging technologies (FDA, FCC, etc.)
