Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026 technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead innovation sprints to prototype next-gen solutions (quantum computing, biotech, AR/VR)
- Collaborate with C-suite to integrate future technologies into enterprise strategy
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and research labs
- Present futuristic concepts to stakeholders with compelling data visualization
- Manage $2M+ annual innovation budget with ROI-focused allocation
- Mentor junior engineers through emerging technology workshops
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in future-focused roles
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (e.g., quantum computing, synthetic biology)
- Proven track record of launching innovative products with $500K+ revenue impact
- Certified Futurist (CF) or equivalent foresight methodology training
- Experience with scenario planning and horizon scanning frameworks
- Strong presentation skills with executive audiences
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Portfolio of 3+ futuristic technology implementations
