Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a 5-year technology innovation strategy aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead quantum computing and AI ethics research initiatives with $5M+ annual R&D budget
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies through patent analysis, startup scouting, and academic partnerships
- Present strategic roadmaps to executive stakeholders and board members quarterly
- Manage a team of 12 researchers and engineers across 3 innovation hubs
- Secure $2M+ in government grants and private partnerships for experimental projects
- Author white papers and keynote presentations at global tech conferences
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ in emerging tech (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Proven track record of scaling innovations from concept to commercialization
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism
- Expertise in scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Strong network with Silicon Valley VCs and academic research institutions
- Published thought leadership in Nature, IEEE, or similar journals
- Proficiency in Python, data visualization tools, and patent analysis platforms
- Experience managing multi-million dollar innovation budgets
