Responsibilities
- Lead strategic research on emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence) and develop 5-10 year implementation roadmaps
- Identify and evaluate disruptive startup partnerships and acquisition opportunities in next-gen tech sectors
- Design and execute innovation workshops for C-suite executives and board members on future tech trends
- Develop patent portfolios and IP strategies for proprietary future-facing technologies
- Present technology foresight reports to investors and key stakeholders with market impact projections
- Build cross-functional teams to prototype and validate future technology concepts
- Monitor geopolitical and regulatory shifts affecting tech adoption and advise on risk mitigation
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or futurist consulting with Fortune 500 or unicorn startups
- Proven track record of launching at least two industry-defining tech products or platforms
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies (PhD/Master's preferred)
- Deep expertise in at least three emerging tech domains (quantum, neuromorphic, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills with executive presentation experience
- Published thought leadership in leading tech journals (MIT Tech Review, Wired, etc.)
- Fluency in scenario planning methodologies and technology impact assessment frameworks
- Security clearance eligibility for high-contract government partnerships
