Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive 2026 technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in AI ethics, quantum algorithms, and carbon-negative tech
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies with 3-5 year market potential
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board members on future tech opportunities
- Manage partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Oversee patent portfolios and IP strategy for breakthrough innovations
- Conduct scenario planning for technological disruptions and black swan events
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic tech planning with 5+ years in future-focused roles
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futuristics
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals on emerging technologies
- Proven track record of launching products with 7-figure+ revenue impact
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, or climate tech
- Experience with regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies (FDA, FCC, etc.)
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
