The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, anticipates market shifts 3-5 years ahead, and can articulate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap with measurable KPIs
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-resistant encryption systems
- Analyze emerging tech trends (AI, biotech, quantum) and translate them into business opportunities
- Develop strategic partnerships with academic institutions and Fortune 500 R&D labs
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite executives and board members
- Manage $5M+ annual R&D budget with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Drive ethical AI implementation frameworks aligned with UN SDGs
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 scale
- Proven track record launching at least two industry-disrupting products
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum computing, synthetic biology, etc.)
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants ($1M+ preferred)
- Fluency in scenario planning methodologies and technology forecasting
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or top-tier tech publications
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and data visualization tools
