Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging tech trends (quantum computing, AR/VR, neuromorphic AI) to inform 2026 strategic roadmap
- Develop and implement future-focused product roadmaps with 18-36 month horizons
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in collaboration with MIT and Stanford research labs
- Present strategic vision to C-suite and secure $50M+ annual innovation budget
- Build and mentor a team of 12 futurists and technology architects
- Partner with policy experts to navigate emerging regulatory landscapes
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ in emerging tech
- Proven track record launching future-focused products (quantum/AI/AR)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Deep expertise in exponential technology forecasting methodologies
- Experience securing $10M+ R&D budgets and managing innovation pipelines
- Published thought leadership in IEEE or Nature Futures
- Expertise in ethical AI frameworks and responsible innovation
