Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026 technology strategy roadmap with 5-year impact projections
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in quantum computing, biotech integration, and climate-tech AI
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions (MIT, Stanford, ETH Zurich) and government agencies
- Drive innovation through design thinking workshops and rapid prototyping sprints
- Present strategic vision to C-suite investors and board members in quarterly reviews
- Mentor junior engineers in emerging technology ethics and responsible innovation frameworks
- Monitor global tech policy developments and adapt strategy accordingly
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Proven track record of launching breakthrough products with >$100M market impact
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Physics, or Biotechnology
- Expertise in technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Deep understanding of global tech policy and regulatory landscapes
- Published thought leadership in Nature, MIT Tech Review, or similar
- Experience scaling teams from 5 to 500+ engineers
- Fluency in Mandarin, Japanese, or German for international partnerships
