Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 5-year technology roadmaps for quantum computing, AI, and sustainable energy sectors
- Lead R&D initiatives in emerging tech fields including neuromorphic computing and synthetic biology
- Partner with venture capital teams to identify and evaluate disruptive startup opportunities
- Design cross-functional innovation sprints with engineers, designers, and domain experts
- Present strategic technology forecasts to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Manage a $5M+ innovation portfolio with rigorous ROI tracking and risk assessment
- Build and lead a high-performing team of futurists, engineers, and product strategists
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech innovation or R&D leadership with 5+ years in emerging technologies
- Proven track record of launching commercialized products from prototype to market
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related field
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, advanced AI, or biotechnology
- Experience with venture capital ecosystem and startup incubation processes
- Certification in futures thinking methodologies (e.g., foresight, horizon scanning)
- Strong data visualization skills for communicating complex technical concepts
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
