We're seeking a visionary AI Ethics Research Lead to design responsible governance systems for next-generation autonomous systems. You'll collaborate with quantum computing teams to develop bias-mitigation algorithms while influencing industry-wide ethical standards through our partnership with IEEE's Future Tech Council.
This role offers unparalleled access to our $50M Innovation Lab and includes opportunities to present findings at the Global AI Ethics Summit in Geneva. We offer hybrid work arrangements with quarterly offsite retreats in our Austin headquarters and Palo Alto satellite office.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical validation frameworks for generative AI systems
- Lead cross-functional research teams in bias detection algorithm development
- Develop predictive models for AI governance compliance requirements (2026-2030)
- Author white papers for regulatory bodies including NIST and EU AI Act committees
- Coordinate with quantum computing teams to test ethical protocols under extreme computational loads
- Mentor junior researchers through our Ethics First Fellowship program
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Ethics, or related field with 5+ years AI governance experience
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, or ACM) on algorithmic fairness
- Deep expertise in federated learning and differential privacy techniques
- Experience advising Fortune 100 companies on AI ethics implementation
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and causal inference frameworks
- Fluency in regulatory landscapes across EU, US, and Asia-Pacific regions
- Track record of influencing industry standards through IEEE/ISO contributions
