Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ethical frameworks for AI systems operating in high-stakes environments
- Lead cross-functional audits of AI decision-making algorithms for bias mitigation
- Coordinate with international bodies (OECD, IEEE) on AI governance standards for 2026 adoption
- Design transparency protocols for autonomous systems in critical infrastructure
- Create impact assessment methodologies for AI-human interaction scenarios
- Train engineering teams on ethical AI deployment practices
- Advise C-suite on regulatory compliance for emerging AI applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Philosophy, Technology Policy, or related field with 5+ years AI governance experience
- Proven track record developing ethical frameworks for autonomous systems or ML deployments
- Deep expertise in global AI regulations (EU AI Act, NIST frameworks)
- Experience with algorithmic bias auditing tools (Aequitas, Fairlearn)
- Published research on AI ethics or technology governance
- Strong background in risk management for high-consequence AI systems
- Ability to translate complex ethical concepts into engineering requirements
