Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging domains including quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, and sustainable tech
- Lead cross-disciplinary prototyping initiatives for 2026-use-case scenarios
- Conduct horizon scanning and publish trend analysis on disruptive technologies
- Translate complex technical concepts into executive-level strategic recommendations
- Collaborate with MIT Media Lab and Stanford HAI on future-focused research projects
- Design and validate minimum viable prototypes for 2026 market entry
- Mentor junior researchers in futures methodology and technology forecasting
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field with 5+ years experience
- Proven track record in technology forecasting or strategic innovation consulting
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, AGI, or climate tech
- Strong background in systems thinking and scenario planning methodologies
- Published research in IEEE or Nature Futures journal preferred
- Experience with technology adoption lifecycle modeling
- Demonstrated ability to secure multi-million dollar R&D grants
- Portfolio of at least three deployed future-tech prototypes
