- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with 2026+ market predictions
- Lead R&D initiatives in emerging domains (quantum AI, biotech convergence, neural networks)
- Partner with C-suite to transform futuristic concepts into viable commercial products
- Monitor global tech trends and disruptors through proprietary foresight methodologies
- Mentor innovation teams in rapid prototyping and agile futures planning
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budget for breakthrough projects
- Present strategic visions to board and investor stakeholders
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy with 5+ years in future-tech roles
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI ethics, or climate-tech
- Published thought leadership in tech futurism (IEEE, MIT Tech Review, etc.)
- Experience securing government/venture funding for speculative R&D
- Fluency in strategic foresight frameworks (Horizon Scanning, Delphi Method)
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Innovation Management preferred
