Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing 3-5 year technology roadmaps for quantum AI integration
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies with 2026+ commercialization potential
- Design and validate prototype systems in our Austin Innovation Lab
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Collaborate with MIT and Stanford on next-gen research initiatives
- Develop intellectual property portfolios with 5+ annual patent filings
- Mentor junior engineers in future-proof development methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or related field with 7+ years of R&D experience
- Proven track record in quantum computing or advanced AI implementation
- Published research in Nature/Science journals or equivalent tier
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (e.g., neuromorphic computing, synthetic biology)
- Experience leading multi-million dollar innovation projects
- Strong background in technology forecasting and scenario planning
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ commercialized technologies
