Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead fault-tolerant quantum computing experiments in cryogenic environments
- Develop error correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum machine learning models
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent quantum computing methodologies
- Present research findings at IEEE Quantum Week and international conferences
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in superconducting qubit manipulation and control systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Proficiency with Python and low-level quantum hardware interfacing
- Experience securing DOE/NASA quantum research grants preferred
