Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error mitigation techniques to enhance qubit stability in NISQ-era systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-classical hybrid architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum processors
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (post-doc preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design and complexity analysis
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published papers in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and computational theory
