Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams to prototype quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in quantum computing grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Collaborate with Intel/IBM on quantum cloud infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on quantum algorithm development with Qiskit/Cirq
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in quantum machine learning frameworks (e.g., PennyLane)
- Strong background in condensed matter physics or quantum optics
- Proven grant-writing success for quantum computing initiatives
- Experience with cryogenic quantum processor control systems
- Clearance for DoD quantum security projects
