Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead a cross-functional team of 8-12 quantum physicists and software engineers
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Secure $5M+ in federal and industry research grants
- Publish findings in Nature Physics and IEEE journals
- Partner with IBM and Google Quantum teams on benchmarking initiatives
- Present breakthroughs at World Quantum Technology Summit 2026
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing publications
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization
- Proven track record leading complex R&D projects
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF/DOE)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and decoherence
