Job Description
Join Nexus Labs at the forefront of technological revolution as we pioneer quantum computing solutions for 2026. We seek a visionary Quantum Computing Architect to design next-gen systems that will redefine computational boundaries. This role offers unparalleled opportunities to shape the future of quantum algorithms, collaborate with Nobel laureates, and deploy solutions that solve humanity's most complex challenges.
Our state-of-the-art facility in San Francisco features a 256-qubit quantum processor and supports hybrid classical-quantum workflows. You'll lead cross-functional teams in developing error-corrected quantum systems while contributing to open-source quantum frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and topological quantum systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Implement quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computation
- Lead quantum software stack integration with cloud platforms (AWS Braket, IBM Quantum)
- Research novel quantum materials and cryogenic control systems
- Collaborate with security teams to develop quantum-resistant cryptography
- Present breakthrough findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature Quantum conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in Q#, Qiskit, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Proficiency in low-level quantum control system programming (FPGA, microwave engineering)
- Track record of deploying quantum algorithms on real hardware
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks and NISQ limitations
- Strong background in high-performance computing architectures
