Responsibilities
- Design and optimize fault-tolerant quantum processor architectures using superconducting and topological qubits
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for real-world industrial applications
- Architect scalable quantum communication networks with quantum key distribution protocols
- Lead cross-functional teams in quantum error correction research and implementation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum processors with classical HPC systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and similar forums
- Secure patents and intellectual property for quantum computing innovations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (MS with 8+ years experience considered)
- 5+ years experience in quantum algorithm design or quantum hardware architecture
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and classical high-performance computing
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC)
- Published research in quantum computing or related fields in top-tier journals
- Experience with quantum simulation tools (Qiskit Aer, Quil, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Strong background in linear algebra, group theory, and quantum information theory
- Proven track record of leading complex R&D projects to completion
