Responsibilities
- Architect strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, bio-integrated systems)
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives targeting 2026 market disruptions
- Conduct horizon scanning and competitive analysis in next-gen tech sectors
- Develop patent-pending solutions for climate resilience and human augmentation
- Forge strategic partnerships with academic institutions and global innovation hubs
- Present visionary frameworks to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Mentor junior futurists in emerging technology methodologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or innovation leadership
- Proven track record of launching future-focused products/services
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech, etc.)
- PhD or equivalent in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Published research on technological singularity or human-machine integration
- Strong network with DARPA, IEEE Future Directions, or similar organizations
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario planning capabilities
- Experience securing $5M+ in innovation funding
