Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology innovation strategy with $50M+ annual R&D budget
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping breakthrough solutions for quantum AI integration
- Establish industry partnerships with Fortune 500 companies for pilot deployments
- Present innovation roadmaps to C-suite and board of directors quarterly
- Drive patent development for novel tech in biotech and nanotechnology
- Mentor a 15-person innovation lab of PhD researchers and engineers
- Monitor global tech trends to identify emerging disruption opportunities
Qualifications
- 10+ years in R&D leadership with 5+ years in emerging tech (quantum/AI/biotech)
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- Proven track record of launching commercialized innovations (3+ products)
- Experience with agile development in regulated industries (FDA/ISO compliance)
- Strong network with academic institutions and venture capital firms
- Expertise in scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Prior experience scaling innovation teams from 5 to 50+ members
