As a key member of our Future Intelligence Unit, you will collaborate with C-suite executives, R&D teams, and global partners to transform speculative concepts into actionable strategies. Our Austin hub offers a dynamic environment where cutting-edge research meets real-world implementation, backed by state-of-the-art facilities and a culture of relentless innovation.
Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies including quantum computing, neural interfaces, and climate-adaptive AI
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify disruptive opportunities and mitigate existential risks
- Produce trend analysis reports synthesizing data from academic, governmental, and commercial sectors
- Architect ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and human-machine symbiosis
- Represent the company at global forums (World Economic Forum, CES, etc.) to shape industry standards
- Mentor junior futurists and establish the company's thought leadership platform
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Forecasting, Systems Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or emerging tech research
- Proven expertise in scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep understanding of quantum computing, synthetic biology, or space economics
- Certification in Futures Studies (e.g., CFS) or equivalent professional designation
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Fluency in at least one programming language (Python/R) for data modeling
