Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum AI, neurointerfaces, climate tech)
- Lead cross-functional R&D sprints to prototype 2026-era innovations
- Identify and secure IP opportunities in nascent tech domains
- Present futurist insights to C-suite executives and board members
- Partner with venture capital teams to spin off commercial ventures
- Author white papers on societal impact of upcoming tech disruptions
- Mentor innovation fellows in next-gen technology foresight
Qualifications
- 15+ years in R&D or strategic innovation leadership
- PhD or equivalent in AI, Quantum Physics, or Futurist Studies
- Published research in IEEE/Nature journals on emerging tech
- Proven track record of launching 3+ breakthrough products
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, biotech, or climate tech
- Experience securing $10M+ in innovation grants or funding
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario modeling abilities
- Portfolio demonstrating 2026-relevant patents or prototypes
