Responsibilities
- Analyze and forecast emerging technological, economic, and societal trends through 2026+ horizon scanning
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive technology roadmap for next-generation product/service ecosystems
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, design, and product teams
- Establish strategic partnerships with R&D institutions, startups, and industry disruptors
- Present future scenarios and strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders and board members
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech convergence) in core business operations
- Lead scenario planning workshops to prepare for disruptive market shifts
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Foresight, Innovation Management, or related field; PhD preferred
- 8+ years in strategic innovation, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies in Fortune 500 environments
- Expertise in horizon scanning methodologies, trend analysis, and scenario planning frameworks
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology, neurotech)
- Exceptional communication skills translating complex concepts to executive audiences
- Published thought leadership in futurism or innovation strategy (required)
- Experience with innovation metrics and ROI modeling for long-term initiatives
