Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026 technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and organizational vision
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate next-gen solutions (quantum interfaces, neuro-AR, climate-tech)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Collaborate with C-suite on strategic partnerships and investment opportunities in frontier tech
- Author thought leadership publications and patent disclosures for IP portfolio expansion
- Drive ethical framework development for emerging technologies (AI governance, biosecurity protocols)
- Manage $2M innovation budget with measurable ROI targets
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ years in emerging tech or R&D leadership
- Proven track record commercializing futuristic technologies (quantum, biotech, or AI)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Deep expertise in technology forecasting frameworks (e.g., Delphi method, scenario planning)
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills across technical, business, and academic domains
- Published research or patents in emerging technology fields
- Experience scaling innovation from concept to market (min. 2 successful exits)
