Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to overcome quantum decoherence challenges
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates and establish industry partnerships with AWS Quantum and IBM Q
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum simulators (Qiskit, Cirq) or real quantum hardware
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, QCE)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Python/C++ and quantum machine learning frameworks (PennyLane, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks and NISQ-era constraints
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government collaboration projects
