Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for error correction and optimization
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in prototyping quantum-resistant cryptographic systems
- Develop simulation frameworks for quantum hardware performance analysis
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $1M+ in federal and private research grants annually
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
- Collaborate with NASA and MIT on quantum space communication projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development with IBM Q or Rigetti systems
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, etc.)
- Proficiency in Python with Qiskit/Cirq frameworks and C++ for low-level optimization
- Publication record in quantum information theory or top-tier conferences
- Experience securing SBIR/STTR grants from NSF/DOE
- Clearance eligibility for DoD quantum security projects
