Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams on quantum hardware-software integration
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NASA grants for quantum research initiatives
- Author 3+ peer-reviewed publications annually in top-tier journals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Collaborate with Intel and IBM on quantum cloud infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, or Qiskit)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Experience with superconducting qubit architectures or trapped-ion systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and group theory
- Track record of securing government research grants
- Fluency in Python/C++ with high-performance computing experience
