Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Design and prototype quantum hardware components at 4K temperatures
- Lead cross-functional teams in quantum-AI hybrid systems development
- Secure $1M+ in research grants and publish in Nature/Science
- Mentor PhD candidates and patent 3+ quantum innovations annually
- Collaborate with NASA and DARPA on quantum communication projects
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and World Economic Forum
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years of experience with superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems
- Published research in Nature/Science/Physical Review X
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong track record of securing federal research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum machine learning frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and quantum control systems
