Responsibilities
- Operate Point of Sale (POS) Systems: Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including returns and exchanges, ensuring a seamless checkout experience for all customers.
- Customer Engagement: Proactively greet customers, answer inquiries about products and services, and provide recommendations to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
- Merchandising & Stocking: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment by restocking shelves, folding merchandise, and organizing displays according to company standards.
- Store Security: Monitor the sales floor and store entrance to ensure the safety of customers and merchandise; adhere to all loss prevention protocols.
- Inventory Management: Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and receiving deliveries as needed during the night shift.
- Problem Solving: Handle customer complaints or issues professionally and escalate complex situations to the Store Manager immediately.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous retail or sales experience is preferred but not required; a passion for customer service is essential.
- Availability: Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the business schedule.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision during the night shift.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift boxes up to 25 lbs, and perform frequent walking and reaching.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and comfort with using electronic payment systems.
