What You'll Achieve:
- Develop and execute multi-year strategic technology foresight frameworks
- Identify and validate breakthrough technologies with 3-5 year commercial potential
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype future solutions
- Establish thought leadership through industry publications and keynote presentations
- Build an ecosystem of academic, startup, and enterprise partnerships
Responsibilities
- Architect 2026+ technology strategy through horizon scanning and trend analysis
- Quantify market readiness for emerging technologies (quantum, AGI, biotech)
- Lead scenario planning for disruptive technological convergence
- Develop patent portfolios for foundational future innovations
- Coordinate with venture capital partners to identify acquisition targets
- Mentor a team of futurist researchers and technology scouts
- Present strategic briefings to board members and investors
Qualifications
- 15+ years in strategic technology planning or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of identifying and commercializing emerging tech
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurology
- Published research on exponential technology adoption curves
- Expertise in at least three emerging domains: quantum computing, AGI, or neurotech
- Experience with patent strategy and intellectual property monetization
- Certification in Futures Thinking (e.g., from University of Houston Futures Studies)
