What you'll do: Lead horizon scanning initiatives, develop 5-year technology roadmaps, collaborate with R&D teams, and present strategic insights to C-suite executives. You'll work in our state-of-the-art Austin hub alongside Nobel laureates and industry disruptors.
Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis across AI, quantum computing, and biotech
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps aligning with 2026 market forecasts
- Collaborate with engineering teams to prototype future-facing solutions
- Present strategic briefings to executive stakeholders and investors
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints for emerging technology integration
- Author thought leadership content published in industry journals
- Advise on ethical implications of disruptive technologies
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or futurism roles
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Proven experience with scenario planning and trend forecasting methodologies
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, AR/VR, etc.)
- Exceptional communication skills for complex technical storytelling
- Published research or patents in future technology domains
- Experience advising C-suite on technological disruption
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (preferred)
