Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech, etc.) and assess their commercial viability
- Develop 5-10 year strategic foresight frameworks for organizational decision-making
- Produce trend reports and scenario analyses for executive leadership and board presentations
- Lead cross-functional innovation workshops to translate foresight into actionable strategies
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and research labs to track cutting-edge developments
- Monitor geopolitical, economic, and social megatrends affecting technology adoption
- Design and implement horizon-scanning methodologies across the organization
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic planning, innovation consulting, or technology foresight
- Proven track record of predicting and documenting emerging tech trends with verifiable impact
- Expertise in scenario planning, Delphi methodology, and horizon scanning techniques
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and trend analysis platforms
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or strategic impact on organizational growth
