Responsibilities
- Scan global technological, social, and economic signals to identify disruptive opportunities for 2026-2030
- Develop scenario-based roadmaps for AI, biotech, and climate tech integration
- Lead strategic workshops with Fortune 500 partners on future-proofing their ecosystems
- Produce annual 'Future State' reports for board-level decision-making
- Manage a $5M innovation portfolio with quarterly ROI assessments
- Mentor junior futurists using our proprietary foresight methodology
- Represent Horizon Labs at global tech summits and policy forums
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Published thought leadership on emerging technologies (peer-reviewed journals or top-tier blogs)
- Expertise in horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis frameworks
- Portfolio demonstrating impact from future-oriented initiatives
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (quantum, AGI, synthetic biology)
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston)
- Experience with AI-driven trend analysis tools (e.g., Palantir, GPT-4)
