Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify and analyze emerging technologies with disruptive potential through 2026
- Develop and maintain a strategic innovation roadmap aligned with long-term business objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate futuristic concepts through rapid experimentation cycles
- Present compelling future scenarios to executive leadership and external stakeholders
- Build and nurture relationships with academic institutions, research labs, and innovation ecosystems
- Quantify market opportunities for emerging technologies and develop go-to-market strategies
- Mentor junior innovation strategists and foster a culture of future-focused thinking
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, futures research, or emerging technology consulting
- Proven track record of successfully launching market-defining products/services
- Deep expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, synthetic biology, or climate tech
- Exceptional systems thinking with ability to connect disparate technological domains
- Published thought leadership in future studies or innovation management
- Advanced degree in technology, business, or futures studies preferred
- Experience with scenario planning and strategic foresight methodologies
- Strong executive communication skills with ability to articulate complex futures
