Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging sectors including quantum computing and advanced AI
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in sustainable tech and human-machine interfaces
- Identify and evaluate disruptive technologies through market analysis and patent research
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite executives and board members
- Manage a portfolio of experimental projects with $10M+ annual budgets
- Collaborate with academic institutions and government agencies on future-focused initiatives
- Drive innovation culture through hackathons and technology scouting programs
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech leadership
- Proven track record of launching at least 3 breakthrough technologies
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- Expertise in AI/ML, quantum computing, or biotechnology convergence
- Experience with technology forecasting and scenario planning
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech ecosystem
- Certification in technology management (e.g., CTO Academy)
- Prior experience scaling teams to 100+ engineers
