Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps for emerging fields including AI ethics, quantum applications, and synthetic biology
- Lead cross-functional teams of PhD researchers and industry experts to prototype breakthrough solutions
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions, government agencies, and global tech consortiums
- Translate complex scientific concepts into actionable business opportunities with $10M+ potential impact
- Drive innovation governance frameworks ensuring ethical deployment of transformative technologies
- Present findings at global forums including World Economic Davos and UN Technology Summits
- Manage $2M+ annual R&D budget for experimental projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, Biotechnology, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record developing commercializable technologies with $50M+ market impact
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (AI, quantum, blockchain, synthetic biology)
- Published research in Nature, Science, or equivalent tier-1 journals
- Experience managing cross-continental research teams and international stakeholders
- Deep understanding of regulatory landscapes for emerging technologies in 20+ countries
- Exceptional strategic communication skills for executive and technical audiences
- Fluency in English with additional languages preferred (Mandarin, German, Japanese)
