Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead discovery initiatives for emerging technologies with $50M+ R&D budget oversight
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-ready solutions into current offerings
- Present strategic insights to executive stakeholders and board members quarterly
- Manage vendor relationships and partnerships with leading research institutions
- Build and lead a high-performing innovation lab team of 15+ engineers
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or innovation management
- Proven track record scaling tech products from concept to market
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech, etc.)
- Experience with Fortune 500 strategic planning and budgeting processes
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration
- Certified Innovation Professional (CIP) or equivalent preferred
- Published thought leadership in tech strategy or innovation journals
