Zenith Digital is seeking a visionary 2D Web Animation Engineer to join our elite creative engineering team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between high-fidelity motion design and robust, performant code. You will be responsible for crafting seamless, interactive 2D animations that enhance user engagement and drive conversion across our suite of premium web properties.
We are looking for someone who doesn't just write code, but understands the physics of motion and the psychology of user interaction.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex, high-performance 2D animations using HTML5 Canvas, SVG, and CSS3.
- Optimize animation rendering pipelines to ensure 60fps performance on a wide range of devices and network conditions.
- Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers and product managers to translate motion design concepts into pixel-perfect code.
- Create reusable animation libraries and engineering standards to streamline future development efforts.
- Integrate third-party animation libraries (e.g., GSAP, PixiJS) and build custom solutions when necessary.
- Debug and troubleshoot animation issues across various browsers and mobile platforms.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in front-end development with a focus on 2D animation.
- Deep expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5 Canvas, and SVG manipulation.
- Proficiency in animation libraries such as GreenSock Animation Platform (GSAP) or similar.
- Strong understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development strategies.
- Experience with WebGL (Three.js) is a strong plus but not required.
- A solid portfolio demonstrating previous 2D web animation projects.
